The incident began at around 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, when troopers responded to the area of Pleasant Valley Memorial Park for a suspicious activity report, New York State Police said on Monday, July 13.
There, arriving troopers found a dead man in Wappinger Creek. Police said there are no current indications of criminality.
The man's name was not released pending notification of his family.
