Albany Gunrunner Sold Eight Weapons To Undercover Cops, Gets Prison Time: DA
An Albany man who sold eight illegal guns to undercover cops was sentenced to several years in prison, authorities said Thursday, July 16.
Isaiah Foy, 21, got 10 years behind bars followed by five years of probation, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.
Foy was under investigation by New York State Police since at least late 2025 for transporting guns to the Capital Region, according to authorities.
During the probe, he sold eight guns (two assault rifles and six handguns) to undercover officers between Oct. 1 and Dec. 14, 2025, prosecutors said.

A New York driver busted while high on weed and opioids was convicted Thursday, July 16, authorities said.
James Maloy, 62, was found guilty of driving while ability impaired, with a previous offense in the past 10 years, according to the Rennselaer County District Attorney’s office and online records.
Maloy, of Waterford, was arrested Sept. 15, 2025, after he was pulled over for traffic violations on County Route 7 in Schodack, prosecutors said.
