A Long Island man who confessed to stabbing his wife to death as their teenage son desperately tried saving her will spend decades behind bars. Ryszard Murawski, age 44, of Lindenhurst, was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Oct. 17. It followed his guilty plea to second-degree murder in the death of Wioleta Murawski. Eduardo Vega, age 58, of Islip Terrace, was sentenced to 25 years behind bars in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Oct. 17, in the death of 34-year-old Roshane McLaren. Authorities are hoping new details about a male victim in the Gilgo Beach serial murders case – and a cash reward – will lead to his identification. On Long Island, the Gilgo Beach Task Force released details about clothing that was worn by the so-called “Asian Doe,” whose skeletal remains were found along Ocean Parkway in Gilgo Beach on April 4, 2011.
