Duo Left Victim With Brain Injuries After NY Motel Beating: Here's Their Fates
Two men convicted in a brutal beating at a Sullivan County motel that left a victim with a fractured face and bleeding in his brain have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms.
Richard Olsen, 40, of Liberty, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, while Jonathan Nipitella, 45, of Kiamesha Lake, received 14 years, Sullivan County District Attorney Brian P. Conaty announced on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

A Capital Region man and woman were arrested after they were pulled over in a stolen car early Tuesday, Sept. 29, police said.
Anthony W. Beddow, 38, and Tiffany N. Almy, 35, both of Ballston Spa, were stopped just before 2 a.m. Tuesday in Clifton Park, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
An automated license plate reader scanned the car Beddow and Almy were in and alerted police about a stolen vehicle, authorities said. After they were pulled over, Beddow and Almy were charged with fourth-degree possession of stolen property, cops said.
