An accused pedophile has admitted groping three children at a Long Island T.J. Maxx, authorities said Thursday, Aug. 27.
Jimmy Harry Velasquez Gomez, 44, of Mastic, pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree sexual abuse in a plea deal, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said. The deal calls for a six-year prison term, authorities said.
Additionally, Velasquez Gomez faces deportation to his native Honduras upon his release, according to federal officials. He will also be required to register as a sex offender in New York, prosecutors said.

The body of Conor Anderson, 31, was found by Covert Results PI firm, which revealed details of the search on Wednesday, Aug. 26.

NY Horse Trainer Guilty Of Animal Cruelty Dodges Jail Time: Authorities
A New York horse trainer convicted on three counts of animal cruelty will not serve any jail time, authorities announced Wednesday, Aug. 26.
Andrea Nussinow, 64, of Tivoli, will instead pay a $1,750 fine, spend three years on probation, and complete 100 hours of community service, the Columbia County District Attorney’s office said.

A Long Island man was killed in his own driveway Wednesday morning, Aug. 26 while working on a car, police said.
Nadeem Ahmad, 50, was working under a 2002 Toyota Camry in the driveway of his home in Selden, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
While Ahmad was underneath the vehicle, it became dislodged from the jack and rolled down the driveway at around 8:15 a.m., investigators said. The sudden movement trapped Ahmad underneath, according to police.

Long Island cops used a drone to help track and arrest a burglary suspect on Monday, Aug. 24, police said.
Isaias Miranda, 26, of Brentwood, broke into a home on Richmond Avenue in Lindenhurst around 7 p.m. Monday, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
