A 41-year-old man is accused of attacking a victim inside her own bathroom after she invited him into her Orange County home, police said.
Newburgh resident Mark Adams, 41, was arrested following the assault on Tuesday, Oct. 6, the City of Newburgh Police Department announced on Thursday, Oct. 8.
On the day of the incident, officers responded to a home near 29 East Parmenter St. just before 7 p.m. after receiving a report of an unknown man inside a residence. The woman told police that Adams, whom she knew, had asked to use her bathroom.

Jayvon E. Ward, 21, of Charlotte, NC, was the passenger in a 2017 Nissan Sentra traveling on Route 212 in Saugerties on Thursday, Oct. 7 when state troopers stopped the car around 8:15 p.m. for multiple traffic violations, according to New York State Police.
Investigators found Ward in the vehicle with a loaded handgun and a large capacity ammunition magazine, state police said.

A Hudson Valley woman stole nearly $4,500 from her employer over several months, police said Thursday, Oct. 8.
Denah R. Stratton, 35, of Ellenville, was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 6 for swiping from the Tops Friendly Market where she worked, New York State Police said.
Stratton took $4,456 across several months of employment, according to investigators.
