Suspect At Large After Man Shot In Face In Broad Daylight In Syosset A suspect is on the loose after a shooting in broad daylight on Long Island. It happened around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Syosset near 225 Underhill Blvd.  Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 34-year-old man had sustained a gunshot wound to the face, Nassau County Police said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. 9-Year-Old Suffers Injuries After Fall At Pool In North Woodmere A girl suffered several injuries after falling from a pool diving board at a Long Island home. The incident happened around 5:10 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in North Woodmere. The 9-year-old suffered contusions to her head, neck pain, and a possible fractured left arm, Nassau County Police said.  She was transported by Nassau County Police Helicopter to a local area hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.
