Sweeping Cost, Safety Proposals Unveiled At Hochul’s 2026 State Of The State
Gov. Kathy Hochul unveiled her 2026 State of the State agenda, pitching more than 200 proposals aimed at lowering everyday costs, expanding housing, strengthening public safety, and protecting New Yorkers amid rising economic and political pressures.
Standing before lawmakers Tuesday, Jan. 13, Hochul framed her address around affordability and stability, laying out what her office called a “clear, actionable plan” to support families while preparing the state for the future.
