Watch Teaneck Rabbi Deliver Benediction At President Trump's Inauguration
Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, president of Yeshiva University and a resident of Teaneck, delivered the benediction at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration on Monday, Jan. 20.
Representing Yeshiva University and the Jewish community, Berman offered a prayer for unity, leadership, and faith during a time of national division.
In a reflection shared on Yeshiva University's website, Rabbi Berman wrote, “I was deeply honored and humbled to lead our nation in prayer today representing Yeshiva University, the Jewish people, and all those who find meaning in faith.”

Video Shows Arrest Of DUI Teaneck Driver Who Plowed Dodge Ram Through Hackensack McDonald's
Newly released bodycam footage shows the arrest of an intoxicated driver who sent his brand-new pickup truck into the side of a Hackensack McDonald's on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
The footage, released by Transparency Bodycam on Sunday, Jan. 19, Christian Andia, 37, of Teaneck, being pulled from his 2025 Dodge Ram, which was lodged in the side of the River Street establishment.
Records show Andia was also arrested for DUI and careless driving in February 2015, and for DUI, reckless driving, and wrong-way down a one-way street in May 2008. Two days prior to the May 2008 arrest he was arrested for DWI…
Ridgewood Parks Employee John Quinn Dies, 34
John Quinn, a father and employee of the Ridgewood Parks Department, died suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 16. He was 34 years old.
John, of Hewitt, worked in the Village's Shade Tree Division since 2021, records show. His obituary on the Vander Plaat Vermeulen website says:
