A Westchester man who chased his wife down the street and repeatedly stabbed her, leaving her with more than 30 wounds, will spend over a decade in prison, prosecutors announced.
Carlos Obed-Tovar, 35, of White Plains, was sentenced Thursday, Aug. 14, to 12 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for the May 2024 domestic violence attack, Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace said.

Edward Leon, 53, of Fultonville, was indicted this week by a federal grand jury on a charge of malicious use of fire to destroy property resulting in death, according to the US Attorney’s Office in Albany.

A popular musician was among a dozen people killed when a plane crashed moments after taking off.
The incident happened off the Caribbean island of Roatán, north of the Honduran coast, on Monday, March 17.
