A powerful message appeared in a Teaneck parking lot five years ago.
"Sí Se Puede!" read the red, white, and blue words painted in the parking lot at the Richard Rodda Community Center. Spanning 36 by 28 feet, the mural was impossible to miss. And Teaneck Councilman Michael Pagan hoped its message would be, too.
The Spanish phrase, which translates to "Yes, we can," was meant to inspire generations of children to dream big, regardless of their backgrounds. The message was especially meaningful to Teaneck's Latino community, but was intended for everyone, Pagan said.

Same Creepy Tactic Used Again By Rutherford Man To Grope ShopRite Shopper, Cops Say
A 37-year-old New Jersey man who identifies himself on Facebook as a manager at an upscale New York City members-only club has been arrested after police say he used a fake bug scare to grope a shopper at a local ShopRite.
Victor M. Torres, of Rutherford, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 8, following an investigation into a Sept. 29 incident at the ShopRite in Lyndhurst, according to Deputy Police Chief Paul F. Haggerty.
The victim was shopping near the courtesy counter around 2 p.m. when a stranger, later identified as Torres, approached and said, "You have something on your back," police said.…
