One person was killed and two others were injured in a serious overnight crash on Route 287 in Rockland County, just north of the New Jersey state line, the Monsey Scoop reports.

A 36-year-old man slammed his pickup truck into five marked patrol cars during a high-speed chase that stretched across two Hudson Valley counties, police said.
The pursuit began just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, when a Columbia County trooper attempted to stop a Ford pickup on State Route 82 in the Town of Livingston for traffic violations, New York State Police said.

A Long Island teenager will spend years behind bars after fleeing a car crash that severed a woman’s legs and injured five others.
Valdemar Meza-Martinez, 17, of Brentwood, was sentenced to 1⅓ to 4 years in prison in Suffolk County Court Wednesday, Jan. 14, after pleading guilty to leaving the scene of a serious injury crash.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 4, 2024, on Patton Avenue in Wyandanch, according to the Suffolk County DA’s office.

Motorcyclist, 25, Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash In Schenectady County
A 25-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on a busy Capital Region roadway.
The Schenectady County crash happened just before 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, on Troy-Schenectady Road near Algonquin Road in Niskayuna, according to police.
Christopher Reith, 25, of Latham, was riding a motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with another vehicle. Reith was transported to Ellis Hospital with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead, police said.
