Markeis Val, 29, threw a rock through glass at DaFazio’s Pizza around 11 p.m. Sunday, May 3, then took a cash drawer from the business, the Albany Police Department said Wednesday, May 6.

An Albany man stabbed a dog after breaking into a home while fleeing police, authorities said Friday, March 27.
Elijah Torres, 25, was acting erratically with a knife near the corner of Lark Street and Jay Street when cops responded just after 4 p.m. Thursday, March 26, the Albany Police Department said. When officers arrived, Torres took off on foot, according to investigators. He kicked down the door to a residence on Dove Street, sprinted through the back and ran into a neighbor’s yard, cops said.

A 20-year-old Saratoga County man is facing felony hate crime charges after allegedly vandalizing a victim’s car, police said.
Deputies responded to a disturbance call on Blue Heron Way in the town of Ballston just before 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators determined that Christopher Brothers, 20, of Ballston Spa, struck the victim’s car with a hammer and jumped on top of it, causing over $1,500 in damage, police said.
