Woman Crossing Long Island Roadway Struck, Killed By SUV A woman crossing a busy Long Island roadway was struck and killed by an SUV. It happened on Sunday, Jan. 12 at approximately 6:10 p.m. in Shoreham. The woman was crossing westbound Route 25A, in front of the Rocky Point Fire Department, when she was struck by a 2018 Hyundai SUV at approximately 6:10 p.m., Suffolk County Police said. The woman, who has yet to be identified by police, was transported to John T. Evan Flannery was driving a 2007 Hyundai Elantra southbound on Miller Avenue and was turning left onto Route 25A when his car was struck by a 2006 Honda Accord, being driven westbound on Route 25A by Michael Troiano at approximately 6:50 p.m. Thursday, June 13, Suffolk County Police said.
