Bomb Threat To DEC Office In NY Under Investigation
State Police are investigating after a bomb threat was emailed to a government office. in the region. The incident occurred in Ulster County on Monday, Nov. 4, at the State Department of Environmental Conservation, targeting the DEC Region 3 office in New Paltz. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, troopers searched the building and did not find any explosive devices. The investigation into the threat is ongoing. Riverhead Police said a parent contacted the agency at around 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, saying their child had found a Snapchat post making unspecific threats against “Pulaski Elementary School,” along with other schools. A high school on Long Island had to be cleared for the second straight day after a new bomb threat.The latest incident happened around 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale. Students At HS On Long Island Forced To Wait Outside As Police Scour High School For Bombs
Police on Long Island say the bomb threat made against a high school was a hoax. Kellenberg Memorial High School, at 1400 Glenn Curtiss Blvd., in Uniondale was alerted to the call just after 7 a.m., Nassau County authorities said. The call was made anonymously to the 988 Lifeline, a suicide and crisis hotline. The caller claimed to have planted bombs around the school grounds. Police and Homeland Security agents had teachers and students wait outside until they deemed the area safe. Officers are investigating who made the call.
