Police investigators on Long Island have issued an alert for a wanted woman who was charged with second-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon. She later failed to appear for court proceedings and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Nassau County Police investigators described Aida Turcios Gutierrez, 24, as a Hispanic woman with multi-colored hair and brown eyes. Anyone who comes into contact with her has been cautioned by police not to attempt to apprehend or detain her.
Anyone with information regarding Gutierrez's whereabouts, or who recognizes her has been asked to call 911 or contact the Nassau County Police Department by calling (516) 573-7524.
