Alert Issued For Long Island Woman Wanted For Assault Causing Injury

The Nassau County Police Department issued an alert for a woman who is wanted by the Nassau County Court following an arrest for an alleged assault incident.

Police said that Jacklyn Winckler, 37, is wanted after being arrested and charged with third-degree assault with the intent to recklessly cause physical injury. The West Hempstead resident was also arrested in 2013 for alleged petit larceny in Huntington Station.

Investigators described Winckler as 5-foot-4 weighing approximately 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Investigators noted that anyone who recognizes Winckler or who spots her should not attempt to apprehend or detain her.
