A routine patrol in Dutchess County led to the arrest of a man on felony drug charges after officers allegedly saw him with narcotics in plain sight, police said.
Frank Vannicolo, 36, was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department announced on Thursday, July 16.
The arrest followed an incident at around 11:12 a.m., when officers were patrolling Academy Street. According to police, officers noticed a man tucked into the doorway of a vacant storefront.

An Albany woman’s killing over Independence Day weekend was revenge for a teenager’s death almost exactly one year earlier, according to authorities.
Vance Mims Jr., 44, and his wife, Glenda Barrett, 43, were arraigned Wednesday, July 15 in connection with the death of Iris Vazquez, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.
