A new survey is revealing the relationship habits many Americans say can go too far, with some behaviors falling into a gray area before a breakup ever happens. Talker Research surveyed 2,000 Americans about what counts as cheating in 2026 and found that emotional connections, secret communications, and online activity can be viewed as relationship breaches. A person was found dead inside an Orange County home after a raging overnight fire, police said. The blaze broke out at a home on Darraugh Lane in Sparrowbush around 12:50 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, according to New York State Police. Troopers responded after receiving a report that the residence was fully engulfed in flames. A turtle was brutally abused and left to die on Long Island until it was rescued by a local animal agency, officials said. The turtle was trapped inside a cage that had been secured with zip ties and submerged underwater at Geiger Park in Deer Park, the Suffolk County SPCA said Friday, Aug. 28.
