A 14-year-old student from the region has been arrested for allegedly making threats of mass harm to a high school through email. The incident occurred in Saratoga County on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Shenendehowa High School West in Clifton Park. According to Saratoga County Sheriff's Capt. An 18-year-old man was killed during a head-on crash in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 12:25 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the intersection of Route 343 and Altamont Road in the town of Washington (Millbrook). According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, Blaine M. A statewide alert has been issued for a New York girl who's been missing for over a week. Gianna L. Thomas, age 16, was last seen leaving her Franklin County residence on County Road 20 in town of Constable on Saturday, Aug. 24, according to New York State Police. She's described as being 5-foot-7, 117 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. No clothing description was released. Fatal Crash: 31-Year-Old From Capital Region ID'd As Victim
A 31-year-old motorist was killed after crashing into a tree. The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, in Columbia County. An investigation determined that a motorcycle driven by Schenectady County resident Randall D. Collins, age 31, of the town of Glenville, was traveling east on Route 28 in the town of Kinderhook when he went off the south shoulder, through a field and struck a tree, according to New York State Police. Montgomery County resident Brian Galusha, of Fultonville, was 31 years old when he was found severely injured and bleeding in the town of Charleston, on North Green Road, early on July 25, 2004. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center where he later died. An autopsy revealed Galusha died from skull fractures and brain injury caused by blunt force trauma.
