Decomposed Body Found Inside Capital Region Home; Suspect Accused Of Hiding Corpse Police are investigating after a dead body was found inside a home in the region. Albany County Sheriff’s deputies made the shocking discovery at an Albany residence in the West Hill neighborhood, located on Sheridan Avenue near Henry Johnson Boulevard, on Thursday, July 11. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the home after learning of a possibly deceased individual inside. During their search, investigators located a body showing visible signs of decomposition, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said. 4 Shot, 1 Critically, In Hudson Valley During Large, 'Disorderly,' Gathering, Police Say Four people were shot, one critically, in the region during a large, disorderly gathering. The incident occurred in Dutchess County in the city of Poughkeepsie around 3:30 a.m., Friday, July 5, in the area of 380 Main St. According to Det. Sgt. Terrance Beam of the Poughkeepsie Police, responding officers, encountered a large disorderly group and four people suffering from gunshot wounds.  Officers began rendering aid to the victims and secured a crime scene. Man, 55, Found Shot Dead In Hudson Valley Parking Lot Police are searching for a suspect after a 55-year-old man was found shot dead in a parking lot in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10:20 p.m., Saturday, June 1, in the area of 472 Main St., in Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Matt Clark of the City of Poughkeepsie Police, responding officers found the man at the top of the parking area. He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, where he later died, Clark said. Police have not identified the victim.
