Car Thief Confronted By Wyckoff Homeowner Turns Out To Be 14-Year-Old Garfield Boy
A would-be car thief who fled a Wyckoff driveway after the new BMW X5’s owner confronted him turned out to be a 14-year-old boy from Garfield, authorities said. The teen hopped into a waiting Dodge Charger that was trailed by a Nissan Rogue, both of which sped from Atwood Place early one late-March morning, Wyckoff Police Lt. Joseph Soto said. Sgt. A driver was led away in handcuffs following a head-on Thanksgiving Eve crash in Fair Lawn. Members of the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps took two occupants to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center's Wayne facility after the Nissan Rogue and Honda CRV collided at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Wagaraw Road around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22. No injuries were reported after a minivan and an SUV collided in Ridgewood. The Toyota minivan got knocked onto the sidewalk and nearly slammed into an office building on East Ridgewood Avenue at the corner of North Maple shortly before 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24. Driver Freed, Hospitalized In Allendale T-Bone Crash
A driver was hospitalized after being extricated from an SUV following an afternoon rush-hour crash Monday in Allendale. Allendale firefighters and Ramsey Rescue personnel quickly freed the driver of the T-boned Nissan Rogue, which ended up on a lawn off the corner of busy Cottage Place and East Allendale Avenue -- a block from Franklin Turnpike -- around 4:30 p.m. Feb. 27.
