4/20 Is Last Day Curaleaf Can Sell Recreational Marijuana At 2 NJ Locations
A major marijuana company will be forced to scale back its recreational marijuana sales to just one of its three New Jersey locations. The state Cannabis Regulatory Commission declined on Thursday, April 13 to renew the retail and cultivation licenses for Curaleaf, a self-described "vertically integrated cannabis operator" with a presence in 21 states, according to its website. North Jersey Cannabis Dispensary Gains State Approval For Legal Weed Sales: Report
Another location of a North Jersey cannabis dispensary has gained state approval to begin selling marijuana to adults. In a 3-2 vote on last week, the state's Cannabis Regulatory Commission voted for the sales expansion of Ascend Wellness in Fort Lee, NJ Advance Media reports. In August, the company began selling recreational marijuana out of its Montclair location, and its Rochelle Park began doing so in April.
