Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Young Baltimore Man Brutally Killed In Midday Attack Baltimore homicide detectives are working to help bring justice after a 21-year-old man was found brutally murdered. Police found the 21-year-old after being called to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1800 block of West Lexington Street around 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 11. Officers approached the victim, who had been shot multiple times n the head, chest, and legs. Medics arrived and rushed the man to a nearby hospital where he tragically died. 39th Annual Annapolis Cup To Take Place At St. John's College The U.S. Naval Academy will face off against St. John’s College in their Annual Croquet Match for the Annapolis Cup as they defend last year's title. One Dead, Two Injured In Midday Baltimore Shooting One man is dead and two others are injured after a midday shooting in Baltimore. Baltimore police officers first located an unidentified victim after they were called to the 2700 block of Ashland Avenue around 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 11. The victim was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. Silver Spring Man Found Murdered On Easter Morning Montgomery County officials are offering a $10,000 reward after a 20-year-old Silver Spring man was found dead on Easter Sunday. Carlos Rashard Carter was found around 3:30 a.m., Sunday, April 9 after police responded to a home in the 11800 block of Old Columbia Pike, according to Montgomery County police officers. Rescue crews say Carter's body had sustained trauma and was rushed to a nearby hospital to attempt to save his life. Despite lifesaving measures, Carter was pronounced dead a short time later. Three New Wawa Stores Coming To Maryland Three new Wawa stores are headed to Maryland, with two set to open up in the coming weeks. The popular food market and gas station will open up two locations this spring and another this summer. A store on Baltimore Avenue in College Park as well as a store on Brooks Drive in District Heights will open to customers in the coming weeks, according to Wawa. Shootings, Stabbings Leave Several Dead Across Baltimore Two people are dead after separate attacks across Baltimore overnight. Baltimore police officers were called to the Sinai Hospital to investigate after a walk-in victim arrived around 3:30 p.m., Monday, April 10. Questions Loom After Young Man Found Shot In Head On Baltimore Street A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting in south Baltimore, authorities say. Baltimore police found the victim after they were called to the 900 block of Mayadon Court around 8:40 p.m., Monday, April 10. The 21-year-old was suffering from a gunshot wound to his head in the 4300 block of 6th Street and was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment. The victim's condition is currently unknown.
