Homicide Suspect At Large After Fairfax County Shooting: Police Fairfax County police are searching for the suspect in a recent fatal shooting, officials said.At 7 a.m. on Oct. 2, officers responded to the scene in the 5800 block of St. Gregorys Lane, where they found Brandon Wims, 31, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.  Wims was taken to a local hospital where he later died, officials reported. Two Dead In Early Morning Fairfax County Crash (Developing): Police Two people are dead after a single-car crash in Fairfax County on Thursday, Oct. 6, police said.Sometime before 5:45 a.m., officers responded to the scene of the crash, in the area of Route 7 Leesburg Pike and Chain Bridge Road, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.Police said they discovered two victims had died in incident and determined speed was likely a factor in the crash. Pedestrian Killed In Fairfax County Car Crash (Developing): Police Officers were investigating a fatal pedestrian crash in Fairfax County on Thursday, Oct. 6, reports said. Sometime before 7:40 a.m., police responded to the Backlick Road area of Route 1 Richmond Highway, where a pedestrian had been hit by a car, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities reported. Woman Narrowly Escapes Rape Attack Outside Chantilly Library: Report A Virginia woman had a scary experience in Chantilly, after she was attacked and almost raped outside a library, according to NBC4 Washington. On Sept. 26, the victim was outside Chantilly Regional Library on Stringfellow Road, when a man stole her jewelry, shoved her to the ground, attempted to rape her, the website said.  Officers found the suspect nearby, 37-year-old Nolberto Sanchez Hernandez, and charged him with attempted rape, robbery and malicious wounding. Fairfax Police Hit Young Mother's Car, Handcuffed Her During Traffic Stop: Report A Fairfax County young mother is demanding an apology from police, after they mistook her for a suspect in a high-speed chase, WTOP reported. Jamee Kimble posted on her Instagram page about a traumatic incident she experienced, when she was pulled over by police and a cruiser hit her car head-on, the website detailed. Kimble was handcuffed during the ordeal and said her car was mistaken for a suspect's car during a high-speed chase. DC Man Guilty Of GF's Murder, Body Remains Missing: Report The boyfriend of 34-year-old Olga Ooro was found guilty of her 2020 murder in D.C., according to NBC4 Washington. Ooro went missing around  Jul. 16, 2020, from her home in the 300 block of Massachusetts Avenue, after a dinner with her 8-year-old son and Darnell Sterling, 57, the website said. Sterling was arrested a few days later, after police saw surveillance footage showing him pushing a shopping cart with a human-sized object inside.
