Daniel Penny was found not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the death of Jordan Neely by a Manhattan jury on Monday, Dec. 9, following 20 hours of deliberations, CBS News reports. South Jersey Man Convicted Of Killing Ex's New BF, Hiding Body In Grass Clippings: Prosecutors
A Vineland man was found guilty of shooting his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend and trying to hide his body under grass clippings, authorities said. A jury convicted 32-year-old Brandon Dennis on Friday, Dec. 6, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a news release. He was charged in the killing of 32-year-old Patrick Trotter of Penns Grove. The case stems from an incident in Millville on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021. A former New Jersey corrections officer admitted to assaulting a resident who died several days after the attack, authorities said. Giuseppe Mandara of Brick Township pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Dec. 3 to third-degree aggravated assault, Attorney General Matthew Platkin and the state's Office of Public Integrity and Accountability said in a news release on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
