Irate Driver Targets Crossing Guard Protecting Children In Glen Rock, Police Say
Police are investigating an unsettling incident involving an aggressive motorist who targeted a crossing guard while children were in the crosswalk last month. The driver of a red 2011 Chrysler 200 honked, yelled, and then slowly drove towards the crossing guard stationed at Rock Road and Maple Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, Glen Rock Police said. Bogota Hockey Player, 19, Dies In Fiery Route 80 Crash
A 19-year-old hockey player from Bergen County was killed after his car caught fire on Route 80 in Warren County on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 1, authorities said. At 8:21 p.m., a Hyundai SUV driven by Carmine Argenziano was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Hope Township when it veered off the right side of the roadway, hit multiple trees and then caught fire, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Pedestrian Pinned By Car In Denville Acme Parking Lot: Police
A pedestrian was hospitalized after being run over by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Morris County supermarket Sunday morning, Dec. 1, police said. The vehicle was pulling out of a spot in the Acme parking lot on E. Main Street in Denville, when they drove over the female pedestrian and came to a stop, with the pedestrian underneath the vehicle, Denville Police Capt. Scott Welsch said. The mugshot of a Newark man who police say was intoxicated when he caused a Route 46 crash over the weekend that killed an area construction worker, and then lied to police about it, has been released.
