Car Crashes Into Toll Booth On Garden State Parkway In Ocean County
A car crashed into a toll booth on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County, causing an afternoon traffic slowdown. The New Jersey Department of Transportation said a vehicle overturned at the southbound toll plaza in Barnegat. The crash happened just after noon on Friday, Feb. 9. Traffic cameras showed a car on its roof up against a booth in the far left lane of the plaza. The crash closed down at least one lane.

A Florida man wanted in New Jersey, fleeing from Pennsylvania State Police in Jonestown has caused an "active police incident" on Interstate 81, Trooper Megan Frazer said on Thursday. Jimmy Lee Fancy, 35, of Daytona, FL was wanted on "warrants for firearm violations from New Jersey as well as other active warrants in Pennsylvania," Trooper Frazer stated in a release. Traffic on Route 287 was delayed Wednesday morning, Oct. 25 for a crash involving a tractor trailer and two passenger cars in Morris County. The crash happened on the northbound side in Hanover Township around 8:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. A Kia passenger vehicle, a Chevrolet passenger vehicle, and tractor trailer were all headed north when the Chevy collided with the tractor trailer near milepost 39, McNair said. A crash had traffic piled up along Route 80 in Passaic County early Thursday, Oct. 5. The collision with injuries happened around 8:10 a.m. in the westbound lanes, west of Exit 58 to Madison Avenue in Paterson, the state's DOT website says. Three lanes were closed. Man Found Lying On Ground In Morris County Pronounced Dead
Police in Morris County are investigating after a man lying in the street was pronounced dead. The man's body was found around 5:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at South Morris and Boonton streets in Dover, Police Chief Jonathan Delaney said. The man was later pronounced dead and an investigation into natural causes by the Dover Detective Bureau, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office, was under way.

A Hyundai SUV was heading west on the highway when a Ford traveling on the on ramp from Route 206 south around 4:30 p.m. in Mount Olive, NJSP Sgt. Charles Marchan said. The Hyundai struck the curb on the right shoulder, traveled over a concrete median and struck the Ford. The Ford was redirected off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail on impact, and the Hyundai overturned and impacted a guardrail off the right shoulder. Heavy rain on Friday, Sept. 29 closed major roadways across New Jersey. Gov. Phil Murphy declared a State of Emergency in the late afternoon, as rain continued falling, leaving drivers trapped in flood waters across the state. Dunderhook Road at Paramus Road in Paramus remained closed due to flooding, leading the borough's Office of Emergency Management to urge an evacuation of the area late Friday afternoon.
