Crash Investigation Closes Portion Of Route 287 In Morris County

UPDATE: A 44-year-old Passaic County man was airlifted to a nearby hospital after being thrown from his motorcycle in a Route 287 crash that shut down the highway during rush-hour on Wednesday, August 23, state police said.

A crash investigation closed a portion of Route 287 in Morris County during rush-hour on Wednesday, August 23.

The crash occurred on the northbound side near the ramp to exit 52 to NJ 23 in Riverdale around 5 p.m., according to 511NJ.

The investigation shut down all lanes for a medical helicopter, prompting delays of about 10 minutes.
