Man Wanted In PA Child Rape Case Arrested At Philly Airport After Qatar Flight: CBP
A Pennsylvania man wanted on child rape charges was arrested after arriving at Philadelphia International Airport on a flight from Qatar, federal authorities said.
Dev Poudel, 50, of Mechanicsburg, was taken into custody Saturday, Sept. 12, after arriving from Doha, Qatar, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a release Thursday, Sept. 17.
CBP officers turned Poudel over to Upper Allen Township Police detectives, authorities said.
Police had obtained a warrant for Poudel the day before in connection with the reported sexual abuse of a child younger than 13 over several years.

Good Samaritans stopped to help a stranded driver in Central Jersey, only for police to discover the vehicle had been stolen and launch a search for the man behind the wheel, authorities said.
Officers responded to Route 18 south and Eggers Street around 2:43 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, on a report of a disabled vehicle, East Brunswick police said. Before officers arrived, Good Samaritans helped the driver move the vehicle to a safe location off the roadway, police said. When officers arrived, the driver immediately ran away, authorities said.

Woman Trying To Help Injured Deer Struck By Car, Airlifted To Hospital In NJ: Police
A 24-year-old woman was flown to a New Jersey hospital after she was hit by a car while trying to help an injured deer, authorities said.
At 11:43 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, officers responded to Route 206 and Patricia Drive, where a Lake Hopatcong woman was found lying in the roadway after she was struck by a white Mazda while attempting to aid the injured animal, Mount Olive police said.
The woman was airlifted to a hospital, while the driver, a 29-year-old Flanders woman, remained on scene and was not injured, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
Corrections Officers Smuggled Drugs, Knives Into NJ Prison: Feds
Two corrections officers have been charged with helping to smuggle contraband into Fort Dix, authorities announced Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Corrections officers Cameron Paige, a 43-year-old Cinnaminson resident, and Ian Dennis, a 32-year-old Philadelphia resident, helped provide contraband to the prison. Joe Lee McQuay, 48 and Keith Navarro Palmer, 41, two federal prisoners, are also charged for their involvement in the scheme, U.S. Attorney Robert Frazier said. Eden Germain, a 27-year-old Delran resident, is also charged.
