Driver Killed In Wrong-Way, Head-On Crash In Colonie One driver was killed and another hospitalized in a wrong-way, head-on crash in the Capital Region. The wreck happened in Colonie, on Wolf Road south of Sand Creek Road, at around 1:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24. A driver was traveling northbound on Wolf Road when they crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle, Colonie Police said. The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was hospitalized with minor injuries, according to police.
