A body was found in a river in Hunterdon County on Sunday, Oct. 27, authorities said. At 5:15 p.m., the Holland Township Police Department responded to a report of a body found in the Musconetcong River, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office said.. A fisherman reported finding the body in a shallow section of the river while fishing in the area, authorities said. The initial investigation indicated that the person had been deceased for several weeks prior to being located, authorities said. Police have identified the victim of a crash early Thursday, Aug. 22 in Hunterdon County as a 16-year-old girl. A 43-year-old High Bridge man was recently sentenced to 25 years in state prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl, authorities said.
