Marcus Sorbino was apprehended by the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Thomas Fennelly, a spokesman for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, said.
At 1:28 p.m. on Christmas, Newark police responded to a shooting on the 300 block of Clinton Avenue and found Scott, Jr. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
He was taken to University Hospital and pronounced dead soon after, Stephens and Fragé said.
Sorbino is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility, Fennelly said.
