Authorities on Wednesday captured one of a group of men who they said purposely shot and killed a 22-year-old Paterson woman last fall. Ex-con Christopher Thomas, 26, of Hackensack was charged with murder and weapons offenses, as well as with conspiracy, for his role in gunning down Mary “Tink” Taylor on Oct. 1, 2023 outside a bar across from the apartment building where she lived with her mom. NJ Man Beat Mom Dead After She Tried Stopping Him From Cutting Tattoo Off Leg: Affidavit
A New Jersey man allegedly beat his mom to death after she tried to stop him from slicing a tattoo off of his leg, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice. Gloucester Township police were called to the Doran family's Blackwood home around 10:20 a.m. Saturday, March 2, as Daily Voice previously reported. Accused NJ Killer Walks Free After Decade In Prison For College Student's Murder
Timothy Puskas is a free man. The one-time convicted killer was released on Wednesday, Feb. 21, from MIddlesex County Jail, after winning a second trial on a murder charge, according to his attorney, Joseph Mazraani. Puskas was convicted seven years ago in the slaying of 22-year-old college student William “Billy” McCaw in New Brunswick. He'd been incarcerated for 10 years. Suspected Toms River Hookah Lounge Killer Will Stay In Jail For Trial: Prosecutors
The man accused of murder in a triple shooting at a Toms River hookah lounge will have to stay in jail through his trial. A judge ordered on Thursday, Feb. 22 that Eric Manzanares, 24, of Asbury Park, will remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending his trial, county prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced. Fugitive From NYC Wanted For Murdering Fellow Out-Of-Stater In Englewood Captured In Colombia
The long arm of the law reached 2,400 miles to South America, where authorities arrested a fugitive wanted for shooting a Yonkers resident dead in Englewood late last summer. Joshua Alvarado, 29, of New York City was captured in Medellin last Saturday, Feb. 17, with assistance from U.S. Marshals and the Colombian National Police, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
