Police are attempting to locate three men following multiple gunpoint robberies committed in Newark last month.
On Monday, Nov. 11 at 6:45 a.m., a man walking southbound on McWhorter Street near Ferry Street was approached by a man who exited a red Hyundai Sonata and demanded his belongings at gunpoint, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. The suspect stole the victim’s backpack, containing his wallet, a bank card, cash, and a cell phone before returning to the vehicle, which had been reported stolen, Miranda said.

A man was robbed and assaulted by three men in Newark on the early morning of Tuesday, May 14, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said.
At 4:45 a.m., a man was walking toward Ferry Street when three men approached him and began striking him in the face with closed fists, Fragé said.
The man fell to the ground and was then kicked and stomped by the suspects, who took his personal belongings before fleeing on foot, turning left on Lafayette Street, Fragé said.
