Kaitlyn Tracey, the Canadian national accused of assaulting a girl over pro-Trump sweatpants on a Jersey Shore boardwalk, had overstayed her visa for nearly two years, the Department of Homeland Security announced Wednesday, July 15.
DHS called the 33-year-old "a criminal illegal alien from Canada." Tracey entered the United States on Sunday, April 14, 2026. and her visa expired on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024.

A 2-year-old New Jersey girl, her mother, and her grandfather pilot were killed in a small plane crash just after taking off from the Adirondack Regional Airport in New York this week.
Guiliana Hillgrube, her 33-year-old mother Gabriella, and her 70-year-old grandfather Gabriele Jasper, were identified on Wednesday, July 15 as the victims of the crash two days prior, according to New York State Police.

E-Scooterist, 22, Killed By Sanitation Truck In NJ, Prosecutor Says
A 22-year-old Union City man was killed after an electric scooter collided with a sanitation truck on the Bergen Turnpike early Wednesday, July 15, authorities said.
Union City police were notified of the crash at approximately 3:30 a.m., according to Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello.
Responding officers found the electric scooter operator, later identified as Mauricio Rodriguez, 22, of Union City, with serious injuries, the prosecutor said. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
