Wayne Resident Wakes Up To Find Multiple Masked Burglars In His Bedroom: Police A Wayne resident suffered a head injury chasing multiple masked suspects out of his home Wednesday morning, Oct. 23, police said. The homeowner said he awoke to the masked individuals in his bedroom around 5 a.m., after they'd removed the first-floor screen from a window and broke the lock that secured it, Police Chief Joseph Rooney said. The individuals then climbed into the home, and began looking for key fobs to vehicles in the driveway, the chief said. Head-On Crash Sends Leaves Two People Seriously Injured In Gloucester Township Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries when a vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and hit another head-on in Camden County on Wednesday, Oct. 23, police said. 40 Firefighters Control 2-Alarm Blaze That Injured 1, Damaged Fair Lawn Home: Police A two-alarm fire left a Fair Lawn family's home damaged and sent one firefighter to the hospital Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 23, authorities said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car On Route 21: Prosecutor A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle along Route 21 in Passaic on Tuesday, Oct. 22, authorities said. The unidentified male was struck by an Acura sedan while trying to cross the roadway in the northbound lanes around 8:05 p.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Department Chief Luis A. Guzman said. Driver, 33, Charged In Crash That Killed Passaic County Grandmother: Prosecutor A 33-year-old Clifton man has been charged in the April crash that killed a 58-year-old grandmother from Passaic, authorities announced. Grzegorz Wolak was in a red Ford Explorer when he struck Rachel McNeil on Passaic and Aycrigg avenues around 11:15 p.m. April 10, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Paterson Building Collapse Under Investigation Authorities are investigating a building collapse overnight in Paterson. The vacant, single-story building on Ryle Avenue collapsed around 12 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, the fire department said. The building is attached to a vacant three-story mill. Public Service Electric was on the scene working to isolate power to the street and manage downed wires. Crews are actively conducting primary searches of the collapsed area.
