Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Much Of NJ, PA: Here's The Timing The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for much of New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania. The watch is in effect through 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 and applies to all of New Jersey. In Pennsylvania, the watch covers Adams, Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Dauphin, Delaware, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, Pike, Schuylkill, Wayne, Wyoming, and York in Pennsylvania. Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Much Of Region With a round of storms moving from west to east in interior portions of the region, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of the area The watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 across DC, MD, NJ, PA, and VA. Potentially dangerous straight-line wind gusts are the primary threat, with potentially damaging hail also possible, according to the National Weather Service. Localized heavy rainfall and lightning are also possible. Severe Storms Close Roads, Knock Down Trees, Wires In Central Jersey Firefighters, police and EMS crews responded to numerous storm-related calls on Thursday afternoon in Middlesex and Monmouth counties, authorities said.  High winds and heavy rain were blamed for the closure of Davidson's Mill Road in South Brunswick Township and live power lines down in Keyport, Millstone, Old Bridge Township, Woodbridge Township, Matawan as well as Edison and Middletown -- where there also were initial unconfirmed reports of trees falling on several homes.  There also was an initial unconfirmed report at 3 p.m. of a road closed by a damaged utility police in Eas…
