East Brunswick High School was locked down on Wednesday morning, May 8 due to a fight among multiple students, authorities said. At approximately 9:30 a.m., East Brunswick police responded to the school on Cranbury Road for the report of a fight, police said. Prior to police arrival, it was reported that the fight dispersed in multiple directions, according to Lt. Jason Fama, a department spokesman. At least a half dozen high schools were locked down in New Jersey due to "swatting" calls, authorities said. The Hardyston Township Police Department responded to Wallkill Valley Regional High School after receiving several 911 calls of a potential active shooter situation around 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, the department said. A vehicular homicide charge has been dropped against a Philadelphia truck driver who fatally struck a bicyclist from Central Jersey five years ago, NJ Advance Media reports. Jorge Fretts, 31, had faced charges in a crash that killed 2011 East Brunswick High School graduate Emily Fredricks, the outlet says. Beloved East Brunswick High School Grad Dies Suddenly At Age 28
Beloved East Brunswick High School graduate Shania Anaija Guadalupe died unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 21 at the age of 28. Guadalupe was from New Brunswick and lived in East Brunswick, where she graduated high school in 2011, according to her social media page. 19: 37 Teachers, Students Quarantined At Middlesex County High School
A combined 37 teachers and students at East Brunswick High School are quarantining after coming in contact with COVID-19 cases, district officials said.
