Garbage Truck Fire Shuts Down Plainfield Roadway: Police A garbage truck fire shut down a Northampton roadway on Monday, Oct. 28, police said. The 1000 block of Cressman Street in Plainfield Township was shut down so the Plainfield Township Fire Department could fight the blaze, according to the Slate Belt Regional Police Department.  Fire crews extinguished the blaze quickly, police said.
