A woman was found dead in the Delaware River in South Philadelphia on Monday morning, Sept. 7, authorities said. Her body was recovered near the 1600 block of South Christopher Columbus Boulevard around 9:30 a.m., according to Philadelphia police. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:50 a.m., police said. Her identity had not been released as of Monday afternoon.
