Firefighters observed a fire inside a vehicle located on a hydraulic lift approximately 7-feet high inside an auto repair building, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office, said. Despite zero visibility, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the vehicle, Wallace-Scalfione said.
Firefighters requested additional units to allow them to rotate in and out, Wallace-Scalfione said. Two firefighters were taken to a nearby hospital for heat exhaustion, Wallace-Scalfione said.
