At 3:22 a.m., Jersey City police were called to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Union Street where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his left shin, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.
He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Wallace-Scalfione said. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.
