Hit-Run Crash Seriously Injures 2 Moped Riders In Jersey City: Prosecutor Two moped riders were seriously injured following a hit-and-run crash in Jersey City on the early morning of Saturday, June 29, authorities said. At 12:20 a.m., two moped riders, a 36-year-old East Orange man and a 26-year-old Newark woman were riding their mopeds at Martin Luther King Drive and Wilkinson Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.  The vehicle did not remain at the scene, Suarez said. Prosecutor: One Man Dead, Another Injured In Jersey City Shooting One man was killed and another injured in a Jersey City shooting Thursday evening, authorities said. Niles Holmes, 35, was shot multiple times near MLK Drive and Wilkinson Avenue just after 4:15 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Holmes, of Jersey City, was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just after 6:10 p.m., Suarez said. A second victim, a 24-year-old Jersey City man, sustained two graze wounds to the arm and was treated at Jersey City Medical Center, Suarez said. Second Person Killed In Jersey City Since Saturday The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old Jersey City man Tuesday night.  Markell Albright had been shot multiple times and was unresponsive when police responding to a report of gunfire found him around 8:20 p.m. near 125 Wilkinson Ave. He was pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center about a half-hour later. Death In Jersey City Under Investigation The Homicide Unit of the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the death of a 60-year-old man Saturday afternoon.  Jersey City police were called after Gregory Harvey was found at 112 Wilkinson Ave. Harvey had sustained head injuries, the prosecutor's office said.  A cause of death had yet to be determined Sunday morning.  Anyone with information regarding the death is asked the call the prosecutor's office at 201-915-1345.
