Attic Fire Severely Damages Paterson Multi-Family Home An attic fire severely damaged a Paterson multi-family home on Monday. Responding firefighters were met by heavy flames on East 23rd Street near 10th Avenue shortly before noon June 26. They had the two-alarmer knocked down within a half hour and under control roughly 10 minutes after that. No serious injuries were reported. The Passaic County Emergency Services ReHab Canteen Unit provided a misting tent, chair, fluids and snacks. Clifton Attic Fire Doused Firefighters doused an attic blaze that significantly damaged a Clifton home. Everyone got out of the Witherspoon Road home off Woodlawn Avenue after the smoky fire ignited and spread over the garage around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, responders said. A second alarm was called within 15 minutes. Firefighters had the blaze knocked down in under a half hour. An investigator was requested, although a possible cause wasn't immediately disclosed.
