Driver Seized After Sunday Morning Crash Splits Utility Pole In Ridgewood
A driver was taken after custody following a Sunday morning crash that snapped a utility pole in Ridgewood, causing scattered power and communications outages in the area. The uninjured driver was brought to Glen Rock police headquarters for a blood-alcohol test and then to village headquarters after the Acura RLX slammed into the pole on North Van Dien Avenue shortly before 8:30 a.m. March 3. Driver Hospitalized After Older-Model SUV Rams, Splits Pole In Glen Rock
A driver was hospitalized with what appeared to be minor injuries after his SUV slammed into and split a utility pole in Glen Rock. The driver sustained a leg injury when his 2008 Honda Pilot cracked the pole on Lincoln Avenue just north of Rock Road around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 27. He walked to a gurney, then was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center by the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Squad. All Points Towing removed the SUV. Bus Downs Utility Pole In Paramus
A bus driver with no passengers avoided injury after toppling a utility pole in Paramus. The NJ Transit bus clipped the pole on East Ridgewood Avenue adjacent to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home and Bergen New Bridge Medical Center shortly before 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. Police: Driver On Cell In Wrong-Way Crash That Wrecked SUVs, Toppled Pole In Hasbrouck Heights
A utility pole got knocked down outside a Hasbrouck Heights barber shop on Friday after a Jeep whose driver was on his cellphone drifted into oncoming traffic, authorities said. The 28-year-old Jeep driver from Garfield was distracted when the right front fender of his southbound Jeep struck the right front fender of a northbound SUV on Terrace Avenue just past Cleveland Avenue, Detective Lt. Utility Pole Toppled In Crash Outside Hackensack Church
An SUV collided with a sedan and then toppled a utility pole outside a Hackensack church on Thursday. The drivers – both female from Hackensack, one 75 and the other 47 – were hospitalized with minor injuries, as was a 14-year-old boy who was in the older driver’s Toyota Rav 4, Police Lt. Gregory Zisa said. The SUV collided with a Toyota Corolla in front of Mount Olive Baptist Church at Second Street and Central Avenue, Zisa said, adding that the building wasn’t damaged.
