Ex-con Ahmad Singletary, 24, and Joseph Young, 26, both of Newark, committed three of the robberies last Sept. 5, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said. Juvenile Detained After Bomb Threat At High School: Roselle PD A juvenile has been taken to custody after a bomb threat caused an evacuation at Abraham Clark High School in Roselle on Monday, Jan. 8, authorities said. At 11:23 a.m., law enforcement was dispatched to the high school and began a sweep of the premises, finding no presence of harmful devices, police said. The Union County Sheriff's K-9 Unit also searched the building, police said No charges have been filed against the juvenile suspect, police said. Man Dies In Union County Fire A man was killed in a Union County fire Friday, Nov. 3. Flames broke out at a home on the 100 block of North Avenue in Garwood around 4:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, local police said. Multiple 911 callers said the first floor of the structure was fully engulfed.  Garwood firefighters and others from surrounding jurisdictions responded, and neighbors said a victim may be inside, Garwood police said. Firefighters found a male victim on the first floor apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The incident remains under investigation.
