Toyota Recalling 168K Pick-Up Trucks Due To Possible Fire Risk
Toyota is conducting a large safety recall involving certain late model pick-up trucks. The auto giant announced that approximately 168,000 2022 and 2023 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles are subject to the recall due to a possible fire hazard. According to the company, the vehicles included in the recall are equipped with a plastic fuel tube that can move and rub against a brake line, developing a fuel leak. A bicyclist from Englewood was seriously injured by a hit-and-run pickup truck in Tenafly, said authorities who turned to the public for help finding the driver. The 33-year-old bicyclist was struck from behind on Tenafly Road outside the Walter Stillman Elementary School off Leonard Avenue shortly after 7:30 p.m. Friday, Capt. Michael deMoncada said. State Police: Tractor-Trailer Collides With Pickup Truck, SUV On Route 80
Several lanes of Route 80 eastbound were temporarily closed following a three-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer in Morris County Wednesday afternoon, state police said. The crash — which also involved a Toyota Tundra and a Jeep Grand Cherokee — occurred near milepost 30.4 in Mount Arlington Borough just after 2:25 p.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. Several lanes were partially closed following the crash but had reopened around 3:15 p.m., Goez said. No injuries were reported in the incident, which remains under investigation, Goez said.
