A 29-year-old man left some personal items arranged neatly on a rock before jumping to his death Wednesday from the Palisades, authorities said. Several witnesses reported seeing the Stamford, CT resident jump off the edge of the cliff at the State Line Lookout in Alpine, near New Jersey's northeastern border with New York State, shortly before 11:30 a.m. Nov. 22, Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Lt. A New York State man who tried using a stolen credit card at a lumber store in Oakland also had a driver’s license in someone else’s name, crystal meth and hypodermic needles in his vehicle, authorities said. Frank Anunziata, 37, was charged with theft, credit card theft, forgery and possession of false documents, drugs and paraphernalia after an employee called police, Capt. Timothy Keenan said. Two Newark man are in police custody after leading authorities in New York and Connecticut on a pursuit in a vehicle stolen out of Florham Park, law enforcement officials said. The incident started on Wednesday, March 22 around 6 p.m., when police in Stamford, CT tried stopping Ibn Foster, 18, and James Riley, 28, a 2019 Range Rover, according to Westchester County Police Spokesman Kieran O'Leary. A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a car carrier Wednesday in Jersey City, authorities said. The unidentified rider crashed into the carrier on the northbound side of Routes 1&9 near North Street just after 10:15 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A 40-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Woodland Park shooting range, authorities confirmed.
