Dramatic video footage shows a fast-acting Linden Public School jump into an SUV to stop it from rolling into students. Health and physical education teacher Valerie Tauriello was on drop-off duty in front of Soehl Middle School when she spotted a frantic dad get out of a car to drop off an iPad that his child forgot Wednesday morning, Linden school officials said. Body Of Missing Linden Schools Employee Recovered From Rahway River
The body of a Linden public schools employee who has been missing for weeks was recovered from the Rahway River Saturday morning, authorities said. Rahway police officers responded to the river near Essex Street Saturday morning on reports of a body in the river, where Det. Anthony Tilton positively identified the body as that of 55-year-old Brian Gooney, authorities said. Gooney was last seen leaving his Main Street apartment around 9 p.m. on March 9. North Jersey Schools Employee Missing For 1 Week
A Rahway man who works for the Linden Public School system has been reported missing. Brian Gooney -- a paraprofessional at Soehl Middle School -- was last seen on March 9, Rahway police said. Anyone with information on Gooney's whereabouts is urged to call Rahway police at 732-837-2200.

Roselle Man, 30, Indicted In Linden Arson Spree
A Union County grand jury returned a nine-count indictment against a Roselle man accused of setting a series of fires in Linden. Marcus D. Wise, 30, set fires to a Linden school, homes and dumpster last July 25, Acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo said.
